Wordfringe presents an evening of new poetry and fiction from Aberdeen. In recent years the literary scene in Aberdeen has been flourishing, and there are probably more active writers’ groups in the city than ever before. Come along to this Arts Carnival showcase event to hear some of the best new writing from Dead Good Poets, Aberdeen Writers’ Circle, Portal Community Centre Creative Writing Group, Springtides Poetry Group and Lemon Tree Writers
Aberdeen International Youth Festival
The Festival presents an exciting programme fusing classical and modern ballet, traditional and contemporary dance, drawing influences from Africa, Europe and Central America.Companies performing include:
- African Showtime Dancers
- Aike Raes and Cie Ph/f/ase from Belgium
- Gastana Danco from Israel
- Georgia Dance Theatre Legacy
- National Dance Company of the Bahamas
