CHILDREN'S SATURDAY DRAMA WORKSHOPS
Drama workshops for children, led by Annie Inglis, Marie Skene and their teams run every Saturday thoughout the year (except Christmas and New Year). Activities include, Movement, Mime, Improvisation, Theatre Games, Acting Techniques and Poetry. Drama classes help to build confidence and self-esteem. Make new friends (and bring old ones!) Have fun - and if you catch the acting bug we can point you in the right direction!
Due to popular demand there are now two new classes for our younger participants.

ACT II
ACT 2 is one of Aberdeen Arts Centre’s resident theatre groups. The participants are young people aged between 12 and 18 interested in creating devised theatre. Since the establishment of the group in 2007 they have performed in a variety of festivals in and outside of Aberdeen, where they have been lucky enough to win a number of awards. This year the group will represent the Aberdeen district at the Webster Theatre in Arbroath. They are also devising an interactive family piece for Aberdeen University’s Word Festival.
The group meet every Saturday at 3.30pm to 5.30pm at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
£80 per 10 weeks session.

CASTLEGATE THEATRE SCHOOL
Castlegate Theatre School is a theatre group for 8 to18 year olds, which meets at Aberdeen Arts Centre every Wednesday between 5pm till 7pm. We aim to develop young peoples’ confidence, cooperation and creativity skills through music and drama. We do two annual performances and smaller concerts throughout the year.
