About the Artist
Predominantly working in photography and moving image my work is collaborative process between the subjects I photograph and myself.
The photographic portrait & the self-portrait are key aspects of my work.
All my recent projects have been community based and a direct result of
socially engaged art practice.

Postcards Fae the ‘Deen
Tuesday 22nd, Thursday 24th , Tuesday 29th April & Thursday 1st May
10am-12pm at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
£16 (covers four sessions & includes free print)
Do the postcards of Aberdeen really reflect how we feel about the city? Time to make a new set.
Participants of these workshops shall take or make images of their favourite aspects of Aberdeen. This may be your home or a district or a public space such as Pittodrie or Torry Battery or a favourite pub.
You will learn advanced techniques with digital cameras, scanners and image manipulation software. We shall create a series of postcards to show positive aspects of Aberdeen in 2008. Click here for application form

Self Portrait Workshop
All age groups
Thursday 17th & Thursday 24th April 6-8.30pm at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
£16 (both sessions & includes free print)
An introduction to the self-portrait by viewing self-portraits of artists such as Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Frida Kahlo, Douglas Gordon and Picasso.
Participants shall be encouraged to use the sessions to create a photographic image, which really reflects them as an individual, in the studio or on location.
The artist will be on hand to offer encouragement and provide technical and creative support.
The self portraits may be as abstract or as literal as the participants wish to make them. Click here for application form
